KSAN Weather Forecast for the week: Sunday, July 28, 2024

Today’s sunny skies pushed our temperatures into the mid to high 90s across most of the area. Sterling City reported the century mark, but otherwise we’re still avoiding the majority of triple digits for now. Winds out of the south were also prominent around 10-15 mph.

Tonight we will see a bit more cloud cover, especially in our southern counties, but unfortunately not much rain. Overall temperatures will drop into the mid 70s for most of us, while winds remain a bit breezy around 10-20 mph out of the south.

Tomorrow we start the week warm as our temperatures try to reach triple digits. I don’t think we’ll stop here in the city just yet, but we all need to think back to heat safety as it looks like it’s going to be a long week. The winds are still going to be a bit gusty out of the south, around 10-20 mph, and sometimes even higher.

This week we will see the chance of rain stay really close to zero for the work week. With this and the growing mountain ridge over the western United States we will see our temperatures climb into the 100s and beyond. It will gradually warm up by a degree or two each day until we hit around ~104° as we head into Thursday – Saturday. Thankfully we will have some relief in the form of rain chances by the time Saturday and Sunday roll around. But because it is so far away and looks limited, rain chances will remain at ~20% or lower for now until next weekend.
