This follows a flash flood that claimed the lives of three IAS candidates. Heavy rain on Saturday caused the basement of the institute to flood, killing three IAS candidates. Several candidates staged protests outside Rau’s IAS Study Circle.

With knee-deep water in the ground after a downpour, a protester demanded swift action from the government, calling it a “complete negligence.” According to an official, the water in the basement is being pumped out and the bodies have been transferred for legal action.

Following the fatalities, many people blamed the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leadership for mismanagement and shared videos of flooded basements on social media.
