Swindon faces 30 degree heatwave and days of sunshine

This week Swindon is being hit by a minor heatwave, with temperatures rising to 30 degrees Celsius.

The warm weather that started last weekend is expected to continue through late July and early August.

On Monday, temperatures will range between 14 and 29 degrees Celsius, with hours of clear weather and sunshine, high UV levels and average pollen levels.

The mercury is expected to rise further on Tuesday, with temperatures reaching 30 degrees Celsius and an expected minimum temperature of 16 degrees Celsius.

The first clouds will appear around 10am on Wednesday, but temperatures will remain high, between 17 and 29 degrees.

Thursday will be sunny and temperatures will drop slightly to 14 to 28 degrees.

The hottest days of the heat wave will be over on Friday, but it will still feel quite summery with temperatures around 25 degrees.

This weekend is forecast to be typical British summer weather, with drizzle and light showers, temperatures between 13 and 22 degrees Celsius and moderate UV radiation.

So bring sunscreen and enjoy this summer heat while it lasts.
