Slash pays tribute to stepdaughter Lucy-Bleu Knight one week after her death

Slash is continuing to speak out about his stepdaughter Lucy-Bleu Knight, dedicating a heartfelt post to the late 25-year-old one week after her sudden death.

Taking to Instagram, the Guns N’ Roses rocker, 58, posted a photo of Knight and shared that he hoped she was “at peace now.”

“My heart is permanently (sic) fractured. I will never ever stop missing you & remembering what a beacon of happiness, laughter, creativity & beauty you have always been. & still are,” Slash said about the weekend.

“The brightest light in the lives of so many that loved you so much,” the musician continued. “I find solace in the hope that you are at peace now. I will love you eternally.”

Knight passed away in a private residence on July 19. The Post confirmed with the Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s Office that her cause of death has been deferred and is pending additional testing, which could take weeks.

Slash revealed she “passed away peacefully” two days later.

“Lucy-Bleu Knight (December 6, 1998), beloved daughter of Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight, stepdaughter of Samantha Somers Knight and Slash, sister of Scarlet Knight, stepsister of London and Cash Hudson, passed away peacefully in Los Angeles, California, on July 19, 2024,” he announced on July 21.

The legendary guitarist said his stepdaughter was “an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer, and a charming, lovable, sweet soul” before asking for the family’s privacy.

Slash also requested that “social media speculation be kept to a minimum” as her loved ones “grieve and process this devastating loss.”

Knight’s mother, Meegan Hodges, and Slash first dated in 1989. The pair rekindled their relationship in 2015.

Hodges broke her silence on her daughter’s death last week, leaving a comment on Knight’s haunting final Instagram post.

“MY BABY GIRL 🕊️🤍 I LOVE YOU WITH EVERYTHING. I’M SO SORRY,” the grieving mother wrote.

Knight’s last post included a chilling message that was bizarrely shared to her Instagram hours after her death was revealed.

“Whether I made you feel excluded, manipulated/controlled you, told you to quit your day job from the comfort of being financially supported by my parents, or drowned real issues in toxic positivity — I am sorry,” the caption of her final selfie read.

“Countless missed opportunities and connections due to a disgustingly big ego, insecure heart and fear of being vulnerable. May my soul learn to evolve from my poor job at being Lucy-Bleu. Peace.”

Slash resumed his solo SERPENT tour on Sunday night after canceling four scheduled shows to mourn his stepdaughter’s passing. The rock star hit the Budweiser Stage in Ontario with his musician friends for his first performance since Knight’s death.

His tour will continue until Aug. 17 in Grand Prairie, Texas.

Knight was the daughter of Hodges and her ex, Mark Knight, although Slash was a father figure to her for decades.

The famous musician is also a dad to sons London, 21, and Cash, 20, whom he shares with his ex-wife, Perla Ferrar. Slash and Ferrar were married from 2001 to 2018.
