Idaho Falls Man Turns 100 Today – LocalNews8.com

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) – Lewis Eaker was born in 1924, when Calvin Coolidge was president.

In 1943, in the midst of World War II, he enlisted in the Navy.

Eaker talked about his time in the military and told anecdotes, but he had something else to say.

“One thing I wanted to say after all about my time in the Navy was some anecdotes. One thing I forgot to mention was that I never got seasick,” Eaker said.

Several of Eaker’s friends and family came to celebrate his birthday.

Additionally, a message was read from Idaho Falls Mayor Rebecca Casper congratulating him on his special day.

Proof that you’re never too old to celebrate your birthday.
